AD Ramsgate station is one of this year’s finalists in Rail Delivery Group’s World Cup of Stations competition, celebrating Britain’s most life-changing stations from the past 200 years. Ramsgate was nominated as it played a key role in the Dunkirk evacuation during World War II, with 82 trains carrying almost 43,000 troops from the station.
