A Hollywood documentary about the Birmingham schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai - who was shot in the head by the Taliban - is released in cinemas this week. The film "He Named Me Malala" gives an intimate insight into Malala's family life in Birmingham, as well as her worldwide campaign for education. It's been made by an Oscar winning director and Malala herself turned up to a special screening of the film last night. | BBC Birmingham

The headmistress of her school in Birmingham says staff and pupils are "delighted" and "proud" that Malala Yousafzai was jointly awarded the Nobel peace prize today.
