Blue Star Fern Phlebodium aureum They are epiphytes native to South American rain forest. They maintain rather than shed their leaves with age. Bluish green leaves can reach 50” long and 20” wide. Prefer indirect sunlight and are popular as a houseplant. Mist regularly and water once a week or so in well draining soil. I cut up a variety of pothos (Epipremnum aureum) and labeled each one, please don’t take one of them too seriously. Can you spot the joke? I placed the cuttings in a shallow bowl and used sphagnum moss to help hold them in place, just enough to anchor the nodes without letting them dry out. Then I added water and kept an eye on them for a couple of weeks. Today’s update: upright leaves, visible root growth, and even a little new leaf action. Nothing fancy, just simple propagation that’s working.
