READ CAPTION LOL This is a much bigger conversation but coming from my experience as well as hearing it from other trans men/mascs and butches, that masculinity is not as welcome in queer spaces as others. “TOO” masculine in queer spaces has sent us back. I know by first glance, many trans mascs pass as a cis man, good for them, but because of that privilege, we are left out of common queer conversations and spaces. I’ll defend my queer community forever but these topics need to be talked about.

One thing I’ve noticed since doing street interviews is it’s always the “pro-gay, pro trans” people who use gay and trans as an insult. It’s hard to see from the Video angle, but this man made multiple faces of disgust when saying I looked trans. See, I thought trans didn’t have a look? And if trans women are women, why not just refer to them as women? I know this guy is just a troll and thought he was cute trying to insult me, but he failed.
