Yesterday afternoon, Troopers were able to survey the Grand Isle and Houma areas by helicopter to assess the damage left behind by Hurricane IDA. As you can see there is widespread devastation to these areas. Most roads are impassible due to being covered with debris and high water. Troopers will work along many local agencies to help clear the roads in an effort to get residents back to their homes. In addition to search and rescue, there will be additional Troopers patrolling the area for loot
