The body of 62-year-old Marites Buenafe, a missing cruise passenger, has been found after she vanished while on a solo hike in Alaska, authorities have said.

A Norwegian Bliss passenger has been missing for more than 24 hours after setting out on a hike while in Juneau. Search efforts are now underway to find her.

Dr. Marites Buenafe, 62, was reported missing Tuesday after she failed to return to the Norwegian Bliss before its departure from Juneau, according to the Alaska State Troopers.
