Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell offered a three-word answer with the team's playoff hopes hanging by a thread after a loss to the Rams.
It was an exciting, well-played half from Dan Campbell's squad, and one which instilled confidence in the Detroit fanbase. Yet, fatigue set in for the undermanned Lions in the second half, and L.A. receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua took full advantage.
The coach pointed to the third quarter of the 41-34 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Matthew Stafford led the Rams to 17 points while the Lions didn't score and a seven-point lead turned into a 10-point deficit.
No other cornerback in the league has allowed more catches in coverage than Reed (17) or Robertson (19) during this dreadful four-game stretch.
Detroit Lions cornerback D.J. Reed has not played up to his high standards since his return from a hamstring injury. Against the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran defensive back was the lowest PFF-graded player on the Lions (29.5).
Amik Robertson underwent an MRI after suffering a hand injury in the fourth quarter of the Detroit Lions' 41-34 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
ALLEN PARK -- Ever since the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, Dan Campbell has delivered a familiar refrain after every Detroit Lions game, win or lose: there is always something to fix.So it was no shock when, after Sunday’s 41-34 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Campbell once again hammered home that same message.
In the fourth quarter of the Rams game vs. the Lions in Week 15, Adams pulled up early on a route and was in pain.
The Detroit Lions have not won back-to-back games since October, but they likely need to win three straight to make the playoffs.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Monday he won't have much of a concrete update on Amik Robertson until the team returns to practice Wednesday.
