The New Orleans Saints have been struggling in the absence of star quarterback Derek Carr and running back Alvin Kamara, and it turns out that is unlikely to change. According to ESPN NFL Insider, "Saints ruled out RB Alvin Kamara and QB Derek Carr for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders."

The Saints have ruled out quarterback Derek Carr (hand), running back Alvin Kamara (groin) and center Erik McCoy (elbow) for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Antonio Pierce has known Derek Carr for a very long time and spoke about the quarterback before the Raiders-Saints matchup.

If Carr isn’t able to prove he is ready to return, then it will be rookie Spencer Rattler who will get his fifth start of the season. Though the Saints have no won with Rattler at QB, including Monday becoming the only team in the NFL to be shut out.

Dennis Allen won't be returning to the New Orleans Saints in 2025, but the quarterback he recruited appears to be here to stay. ESPN's Adam Schefter shared some insight on what's in the plans for the black and gold,

New Orleans Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said Tuesday he is hopeful that veteran quarterback Derek Carr can return to action against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at the Superdome.

Darren Rizzi told reporters the New Orleans Saints would take a committee approach to replacing Alvin Kamara. Rizzi laid out the plan was to use Kendre Miller, Jordan Mims and Jamaal Williams in the backfield.
