Predictably, Vientos has found himself the subject of recent trade rumors leading up to the July 31 deadline -- a dynamic he opted to talk about with reporters on Monday.

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly interested in adding Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller, although they have competition from other teams, per Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“To be honest with you, I feel like every year besides last year I’m in trade talks,” Vientos told The Athletic on Monday. “It’s the same thing. I don’t really care. All I’m really focused on is just getting better. That’s it.”
