Reports have suggested the absent lawmakers are considering a return to Texas while a statement from the caucus insists a decision has not been made.

During a brief session Friday, state House Speaker Dustin Burrows (R) announced the chamber did not have enough members present to conduct business.

Paxton sued O’Rourke and his political group, Powered by People, last week, arguing that the group was deceptively fundraising for and illegally supporting Texas Democrats’ walkout.
