The NFL's new league year will unofficially begin this afternoon with the "legal tampering" period. Teams will attempt to finalize trades, sign free agents, and make difficult roster cuts before Wednesday’s official start of the league year.

As Green Bay moves another day closer to the 2026 season, NFL clubs may enter into formal agreements with outside free agents beginning at 3 p.m. Central on Wednesday, following the two-day negotiating window that begins Monday.

The Packers are losing Kingsley Enagbare to the Jets. The deal is for one year and $10 million, per ESPN.

The Green Bay Packers have been active in free agency over the past few seasons. In 2024, the team signed safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs. Last year, they added left guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs.
