Before the Philadelphia Eagles ' training camp run, the team's starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts, recently spent time with the legendary Michael Jordan.
PHILADELPHIA − By now, after leading the Eagles to two Super Bowls in three seasons and to the playoffs in all four of his seasons as a full-time starter, Jalen Hurts should be revered like Patrick Mahomes is with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tom Brady was with the New England Patriots.
That’s not just lip service. Matthews has caught passes from his share of signal-callers including but not limited to – Carson Wentz, Ryan Tannehill, and Jimmy Garoppolo. He also played alongside Hurts during the quarterback’s rookie season in 2020. What stood out wasn’t just the talent. It was the mentality.
The Channelview, Texas, native helped guide the Eagles to the Super Bowl at the end of the 2022 season. They lost that one to the Kansas City Chiefs despite a huge individual performance by Hurts, who threw for 304 yards and a touchdown and ran for another 70 yards and three scores, but Kansas City prevailed 38-35 on a last-minute field goal.
