We'll have a wetter than normal trade wind pattern for the next couple of days, with more of the showers on the windward and mauka sections, but some of the showers will spread leeward at times.
Average temperatures in our region on May 23 are typically in the upper 70s. However, this Friday, temperatures will be much cooler, hovering around the mid to upper-60s. Overnight, temperatures will remain below average, falling to the mid-40s, whereas we would normally expect them to be in the upper 50s.
Friday brings stronger winds once again, with gusts possibly topping 40 mph, prompting our second First Alert weather day of the week. Temperatures dip slightly, with the high reaching 96°.

A mostly sunny day is expected Thursday though some areas of patchy fog cannot be ruled out in the morning. But things should warm quickly by the afternoon with highs returning to the lower 90s especially north of I-10. A very isolated shower can’t be ruled out, but things look dry otherwise. And Friday looks just as warm.
A passing system to the south of the Heartland will push in some clouds and a swath of showers and thunderstorms overnight.
Even though there is a chill in the air for this Tuesday, we are also enjoying plenty of bright sunshine. And with that dry, clear atmosphere, there is a real potential for sunburn—even if it does not feel like it.
