Fencing and barriers are being taken down across the streets of D.C. following the Army 250th birthday parade over the weekend. FOX 5's David Kaplan has more.
Fox News Digital spoke to attendees of the D.C. military parade, some who had traveled hundreds of miles to participate, about why they had come to the nation’s capital for the event.
The military parade is slated for Saturday, June 14, in the heart of Washington, D.C., spanning six blocks and bisecting the National Mall. Organizers say the procession begins at 3:30 p.m. PST.
In preparation for the parade, the city installed more than 200 steel plates and rubber mats to protect D.C.’s historic streets.
