More than 6.3 million Powerball tickets sold in the United States won prizes ranging from $4 to $2 million, the lottery said.

While most people were dreaming of big Powerball and Mega Millions wins, a couple of lottery Scratchers combined to win $15 million.

Daniel Green, a resident of Folsom, California, initially thought he had won $50,000 in the September 6 Powerball drawing. But when he checked again, he realized he had added Power Play to his ticket—an option that doubled his winnings to $100,000.
