PITTSBURGH — After sending veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for a relief prospect on Saturday night, July 26, the Diamondbacks have made two deals in the span of three days, moves that appear to clearly plant them in the seller’s camp ahead of next week’s trade deadline.

PHOENIX — The Kansas City Royals acquired veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. The D-backs added right-hander Andrew Hoffmann, who has made three appearances for the Royals this season out of the bullpen. The 25-year-old was selected in the 12th round of the 2021 draft by the Braves.
