New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil has been diagnosed with a high-grade lat strain in his right shoulder and will be out at least a couple of months.

The Yankees are dealing with more injuries at spring training, as Aaron Boone said Luis Gil will be shut down with a lat strain.

Gil was 15-7 with a 3.50 ERA in 29 starts last year, striking out 171 and walking a major league-high 77 in 151 2/3 innings.
