Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points — 23 in the second half — and Darius Garland added 16 as the Cleveland Cavaliers began the season’s unofficial second half by beating the Phoenix Suns 118-92 in a holiday matinee.

Kevin Durant’s 13 points (5-of-9) and Tyus Jones’ 11 points (3-of-5 from 3) are the scores for Phoenix, which faces a 59-46 deficit at halftime. Devin Booker’s still trying to find his rhythm as he hit just 2-of-7 for six points.
