Grammys will proceed as planned on Feb. 2, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said, as Los Angeles faces several deadly wildfires.
UPDATE: In a joint statement, the Recording Academy and MusiCares CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurt, the chair of the academy’s board of trustees, confirmed the Grammy Awards telecast will proceed on Feb. 2 as planned.
The 2025 Grammys will in fact go on as scheduled, and will raise money for wildfire relief in Los Angeles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy members received a letter from Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.
As previously announced, this year’s Grammy telecast will go forward live on CBS “with a renewed sense of purpose.” On Feb. 2, the ceremony will raise “additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours.”
With just over one week remaining until the Grammy Awards ceremony, CBS and the Recording Academy have finally revealed some of this year's performers.
Grammy Awards will still take place on Feb. 2 in Los Angeles and the telecast will raise funds to support wildfire relief efforts. The show will air live from the Crypto.
