Gael Monfils makes history by becoming the oldest winner of an ATP Tour singles title after triumphing at the ASB Classic in Auckland.

Gael Monfils has become the second-oldest player in more than 30 years to reach the final of an ATP Tour event after beating American Nishesh Basavareddy 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the semifinals at Auckland.

No. 2 seed Sebastian Korda and No. 5 Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada will meet in Saturday's final at the Adelaide International in Australia.
