CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — For the first time since the 2007-08 season, the Charlotte Hornets will air free over-the-air television to local audiences.

As reported by Evan Sidery, the Hornets are open to helping facilitate trades ahead of the deadline to gain future draft capital. Charlotte is keeping the same strategy from the offseason as they hope to earn a top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

That’s changing for five games over the next two months, allowing viewers to catch a glimpse of Los Angeles Lakers’ star LeBron James and Charlotte’s own Steph Curry of Golden State.

The NBA's Charlotte Hornets will benefit from added availability of five of its upcoming games, thanks to an agreement that will see a simulcast of FanDuel Sports Southeast games on stations owned by Gray Media and Capitol Broadcasting across the team's territory.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Spectrum Center, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (24-17) battle LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets (11-29), tipping off at 7:00 PM ET on FDSSE and FDSWI.

The Milwaukee Bucks will have to pivot their trade targets after missing out on this center. They can't be too mad about the deal, however.

The, Gray Media, Capitol Broadcasting and FanDuel Sports Southeast have reached an agreement to simulcast five games this season in various markets throughout North Carolina and South Carolina via the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network and other Gray affiliates.
