Canada has announced an aid package for Cubans suffering during Donald Trump’s oil blockade worth $8m CAD (£4.4m).

Mexico's Foreign Affairs Ministry said that the food aid was dispatched to Cuba on the instructions of President Sheinbaum, who has pledged to continue supporting the communist-run Caribbean island.
