As a series of Pacific storms continues in the northwestern United States and in southwestern Canada, the biggest storm of the bunch will include an atmospheric river in portions of Washington and Oregon that can have dangerous and damaging consequences,

Heavy rain and melting snow over the weekend will result in an increasing flood risk for Spokane and the Inland Northwest.

An atmospheric river is expected to affect western portions of Washington and Oregon beginning Saturday and continuing into Tuesday. This will bring the potential for urban and river flooding impacts.
