President Donald Trump is scheduled to sign an executive order Tuesday creating a federal task force on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavi tt issued a statement on Monday acknowledging the move, which was to be formally announced at a signing ceremony attended by athletes and Olympics officials.

Along with the 2028 Summer Games, the president has said that the 2026 FIFA World Cup being hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico is among the events he’s most looking forward to in his second term.
