The San Francisco Giants have an agreement in place with the Boston Red Sox which will net the Giants more international bonus pool space. According to a report from Hunter Noll of Beyond the Monster,

The Boston Red Sox on Wednesday acquired catcher Blake Sabol from the San Francisco Giants, in exchange for international bonus pool space. To make room on the 40-man roster, Boston designated right-handed pitcher Chase Shugart for assignment.
