Nintendo’s Q1 2026 earnings report was released earlier today and revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe added another 660,000 unit sales to its total during the quarter that also saw the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World. This brings the lifetime sales of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to 68,860,000.

Mario Kart World was available as part of hardware bundles, but Nintendo ‘s figures suggest that a number of players bought the standalone Switch 2 console and bought Mario Kart World separately, bringing the game’s total attach rate to 96.7%.
