Egypt's foreign minister said on Monday that the flow of aid into Gaza has not increased despite an agreement last week between Israel and the European Union that should have had that result.

The European Union is seeking updates from Israel on implementation of a new deal to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, the bloc’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Tuesday.

Kallas put forward 10 potential options on Tuesday after Israel was found to have breached a cooperation deal between the two sides on human rights grounds.

Syria has been wracked by a new wave of deadly sectarian violence that has placed the spotlight on the Druze minority at the center of rising tensions with Israel. Dozens of people were killed this week after clashes between government loyalists and Druze militias in the southern city of Suwayda,

Israel carried out strikes against them, saying it was acting to protect the Druze minority.
