Police say a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were injured in Thursday's shooting on the 7000 block of Arcola Avenue.

At around 6:20 a.m. Thursday in the 7100 block of Arcola Avenue, the passengers of two black pickup trucks exited and shot at the house near Van Dyke, police said. There were two individuals in each vehicle, but police said they are searching for two shooters who shot at the house.

DETROIT – A 13-year-old was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Detroit on Friday night, police said. The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 1 at East Lantz and Anglin streets. Three teens were out walking when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up next to them, according to Detroit Police Assistant Chief Franklin Hayes.
