Chris Gotterup got cracking with a sizzling scorecard that almost had singed edges during a warm second round at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open.

NORTH BERWICK, Scotland -- The hardest task for Chris Gotterup was waking up Friday. Once he got going, he never really stopped until he tied the course record with a 9-under 61 and wound up with a two-shot lead going into the weekend at the Scottish Open.

Chris Gotterup starts with a solid par after his birdie attempt from 28 feet brushed the hole. That should settle any early nerves. Harry Hall's par putt slips past, though.
