A major snowstorm is moving into the Triad this weekend, just one week after an icy winter storm left lingering impacts across the area.

With temperatures well-above normal for this time of year, combined with lack of precipitation, no new snow has been reported within the last 24-hours for our ski areas. Crews continue to groom and prep the slopes overnight to ensure you can still get in some good runs on a solid base.

The chilly snap continues — and is getting worse — after at least 10 people were found dead outside in the cold over the last few days.
