Nature lovers will enjoy fishing, surfing, and swimming at Sebastian Inlet State Park and Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge is perfect for birdwatching and boating.

Many beaches, though, may be inundated with seaweed and will render fishing impossible. Sebastian Inlet Snook fishing has been excellent from both jetties and along both shores of the inlet.

Sebastian Inlet Snook fishing has been the main draw here. Live bait like mullet, sardines, pilchards and shrimp have been working well.

Sebastian Inlet State Park is located on both sides of the inlet. It contains both the McLarty Treasure Museum and Sebastian Fishing Museum, and is world-renowned for surfing.
