Empower Brands recalled roughly 319,000 of their Power XL Dual Basket Air Fryers this week due to a potential burn hazard in two models, according to the CPSC and PowerXL's website.

An air fryer that caught fire, causing smoke to pour into an apartment hallway, was a brand that was linked to numerous safety recalls, a Mass. fire department said.

More than 3 million air fryers from Insignia, Cosori and more have been recalled due to fire and burn hazards, a USA TODAY review found.
