Peloton on Tuesday launched its own marketplace for reselling used equipment and gear as the company looks to capitalize on the many bikes and treadmills collecting dust in people's homes.

Used Peloton bikes are selling online through Facebook and Craigslist within hours for the same price as a new bike.

Peloton founder and CEO John Foley told analysts on an earnings conference call Thursday evening the company will soon launch a certified pre-owned bike program. No further details were provided.

Peloton is already winning over customers who have bought a secondhand bike or treadmill, but now it’s going to get a slice of the resale market.
