Ali Truwit, a Connecticut native, took home the silver medal Thursday in the women's swimming 400-meter freestyle a year after a shark attack.

Two world records were established on the first day of competition at the 2025 U.S. Paralympics Swimming championships at Idaho Central Aquatic Center in Boise.
