The National Hurricane Center predicts that Tropical Depression Seven could strengthen into Tropical Storm Gabrielle by Wednesday night.
C omputer "spaghetti" model runs and meteorologists flagged an eastern Atlantic disturbance in early September as having an increased chance to develop into a t ropical storm, which would be called Gabrielle, with some forecasts showing a westward track toward the Caribbean.

Tracking Invest 92-L: Computer models and maps
Invest 92-L will likely become a tropical depression by the middle to latter part of this week. The next name on the list is Gabrielle.
An eastern Caribbean tropical wave is analyzed with axis near 63W from 21N, moving west at 11 to 17 mph. Scattered moderate convection is noted across the northern half of the wave, affecting the Lesser Antilles and Puerto Rico.
