Boston Globe Media Partners said on Thursday that it would expand into television news with “Boston Globe Today,” a weekday show it will produce with New England Sports Network.

The move enables Globe Life to maintain its strong workforce of over 2,000 employees in McKinney, with future growth anticipated to support the company’s expanding policyholder base.
