The Mario Kart World Direct showed two returning contests that will be included in Battle Mode this round: Balloon Battle and Coin Runners.

Mario Kart World will feature four game modes, including Grand Prix, Knockout Tour, Free Roam, and Battle Mode. Time Trials, VS Races, Team Races, Balloon Battle, and Coin Runners will also return.
