It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony is happening on Wednesday. Thousands of New Yorkers and tourists will gather in Midtown Manhattan to see the 75-foot tree illuminated to kick off the Christmas season.
The annual lightings of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and of the Big Duck in Flanders are both scheduled for 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
You can watch the tree lighting live on NBC and Peacock from 8-10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 as part of NBC's annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, which will be hosted by Reba McEntire. She will be joined by NBC's 'Today' show anchors Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Craig Melvin.
In addition to Smith, the city’s four other top sellers — George Nash, Jane Waterman and Ciree Nash of Uptown Christmas Trees; Heather Neville, the NYC Tree Lady; “Little” Greg Walsh of Greg’s Trees; and Kevin Hammer of Evergreen East Trees, who’s been in the business for nearly 50 years — are featured in the film.
