Kouri Richins, a Utah mother who wrote a children’s book on grief after her husband’s death, was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole for his murder.

Kouri Richins, 36, who wrote a children’s book about grief after murdering Eric Richins, will serve without the option of parole.

Jurors in Park City also found Richins guilty of four other felonies, including attempted murder for trying to poison her husband weeks earlier on Valentine’s Day with a fentanyl-laced sandwich.
