Disney’s channels will be removed from YouTube’s pay-TV platform after the two media giants failed to reach a new carriage agreement before Thursday’s midnight deadline. The blackout will leave subscribers unable to watch content from Disney networks, including ESPN, ABC, Disney Channel, FX, National Geographic and Freeform.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk weighed in on the Disney vs YouTube TV showdown and the NBA is undoubtedly part of the fallout. Disney has the celebrity power to get its messaging out there, as Florio wrote.

If you wake up to the news that YouTube TV loses Disney channels, you’re not completely out of luck. Plenty of alternative services still carry Disney-owned networks, including Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV’s Orange tier (for ESPN only), Fubo, and cable providers like Spectrum or Comcast.
