In an interview with Axios, Trump claimed he has significant influence over Netanyahu and could even prevent Israel from expanding military operations in the region, while also crediting himself with strengthening Israel’s security.
He added that Israel respects him and “they do as I say,” when asked if he’ll be able to keep Israel from launching future attacks in Lebanon.
