Apple sent me the 15-inch variant of the new MacBook Air in the new "sky blue" color, with an M4 chip, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage space. I haven't yet spent enough time with it to tell you whether it's a good purchase, but I can say one thing: The sky blue color will only shine in a certain light.

As expected, Apple has officially refreshed its MacBook Air lineup with its M4 chip, the same silicon we've already seen in products like the MacBook Pro, the iMac, and the Mac mini. And in most ways, it's a straightforward update, with no major changes to the laptop's physical design, screen specs, keyboard, or ports.

MacBook Air has Apple's M4 processor, comes in a new "sky blue" color and starts at $999 for the 13-inch version and $1,199 for the 15-inch laptop.

Whether you pick the little 13-inch model or the more comfortable yet compact 15-inch Air, you'll be getting an undeniably versatile MacBook.
