Speaking to reporters Monday, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone indicated that Giancarlo Stanton's departure from camp was not due to his elbow injuries.

While speaking to reporters on Friday, Marcus Stroman said he is a “starter” and will not move to the bullpen. When asked about Stroman’s comments, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone was seemingly more focused on the fact that it is still the middle of February.

Aaron Boone said he “had an idea” that Marcus Stroman wouldn’t show up for workouts these last two days and that he understands “how it looks.” He called it “a little bit of an awkward” situation, but he’s talked to Stroman and he expects him in camp in the next few days.
