After a stellar start to his rookie season, former Purdue star and Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey is heading to NBA All-Star Week for the Rising Stars Game.

Memphis Grizzlies' rookies Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells will both play in the Rising Stars game as part of NBA All-Star weekend next month, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Edey and Wells were two of the 10 rookies selected for the game. They're joined by 11 sophomores and seven players from the NBA G League.

The two rookies have jockeyed to be the Rookie of the Year and may find themselves playing against the All-Stars during NBA All-Star Weekend
