With snow expected to hit the Mid-South area, drivers should expect winter weather to impact road conditions. Here's what to know.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Flyers are seeing canceled or delayed flights Friday morning in Memphis as a winter storm hits the Mid-South. Over 30 departures have been canceled, according to the Memphis International Airport (MEM) website. About 20 scheduled arrivals into Memphis are canceled as well. Some flights are delayed.

Memphis is under a winter storm warning beginning Thursday evening and ending Saturday morning. On Thursday afternoon, Gov. Bill Lee and Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) Director  Patrick C.

According to the Memphis Shelby County Schools winter weather procedures page, "In every instance of inclement weather, District staff will monitor conditions on neighborhood streets, bus routes, and school property in all MSCS communities to determine if it is safe for travel to and from school and student activities."
