David Wright congratulated Pete Alonso for passing the former Mets third baseman on the team’s all-time home run list.

Pete Alonso continues to rise up the Mets’ all-time home run list, tying and then surpassing David Wright for second place with his 242nd and 243rd career long balls.

It moved him into a tie for the second most homers in Mets franchise history, right alongside David Wright.Darryl Strawberry still owns the record with 252, but Alonso is now just 10 back of that mark.
