Former AL Rookie of the Year Michael Fulmer, returning from Tommy John surgery, was brought up from the minor leagues on Sunday when the Boston Red Sox placed right-hander Richard Fitts on the 15-day injured list with a right pectoral strain.

Star pitcher was living out of a camper he drove to Triple A Worcester. Fulmer replaces fellow righthander Richard Fitts (pectoral strain) on the roster.

Former Detroit Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer is back in the big leagues after a 19-month absence. The Boston Red Sox selected Fulmer’s contract from Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday. Fulmer, 32, last pitched in the big leagues at the end of the 2023 season with the Chicago Cubs.
