Maryland State Police have been inundated with emergency calls for service since 1 a.m., receiving nearly 750 calls, according to authorities.

Several inches of snow have already fallen across the DMV and Maryland State Police said it has received more than 100 calls for service early Monday morning during the winter storm. On Sunday, Maryland Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency and closed all state government offices on Jan.

On Monday, Maryland State Police (MSP) responded to more than 200 reported crashes across the state as a snowstorm passed through. Since 1 a.m., MSP reported almost 750 calls for service. Among those calls included over 200 crashes and more than 230 unattended cars.
