The return of the experienced fly-half is fast becoming a theme on this Lions tour. Just over a week since Owen Farrell's call-up, veteran fly-half James O'Connor's was included in Joe Schmidt's Wallabies squad for the first time in three years.

Australia coach Joe Schmidt called up experienced out-half James O'Connor into his squad for the three tests against the British & Irish Lions on Friday after losing Noah Lolesio for the series.

O’Connor has answered the Wallabies’ SOS following the gutting injury to fly-half Noah Lolesio with James Slipper joining the recalled veteran in playing for Australia in two successive British & Irish Lions series. The pair join Wallabies great George Smith in achieving the incredible feat, with Schmidt naming an otherwise settled squad.
