The Georgia Bulldogs had three players selected in the first-round of the 2025 NFL draft. Georgia has now had 20 first-round during the Kirby Smart era. Smart is 105-19 during his nine year career at Georgia, so the Bulldogs have more first-round picks than losses during the Smart era.

In three seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs, edge rusher Mykel Williams established himself as a potential-laden player who possesses a high level of athleticism and plays with lots of physicality. He declared himself eligible for the NFL draft months ago, and on Thursday, he was taken with the No. 11 pick by the San Francisco 49ers.

Williams is the fourth Bulldog to be drafted by the 49ers in the 2000s and the third from Kirby Smart’s teams. San Francisco’s last Georgia selection was also a defensive end when Robert Beal Jr. was selected in the fifth round during the 2023 draft.
